Ranked Servers

Rank in Generic Cooking Game is not a separate ladder mode with its own map. It is a chef level you carry into server filters. Hexbit Studios shipped the diner on 13 April 2023 (still BETA) as eight-player online co-op with free Solo. Everyone starts at rank 1. Serving dishes, washing plates, and other kitchen work grant XP. Ranked: Level 15 and Ranked: Level 35 rooms require those ranks. Cooking methods should be enforced there so a claimed ticket actually matches the recipe method, not a random pile on a plate.

Start on Tutorial or Normal if you are new. Getting Started and controls cover the first hour. Harder ranked tickets need the recipe list and the recipe checklist. Keep the pantry alive with factory restock. Keep walking speed and the diner solvent with energy and bills. Drill plating without customers in Creative mode. Passes that matter on ranked nights (Instant Delivery, Eat Food, Manager, 1.5x Speed) are ranked on the gamepass tier list. Server additions and XP tweaks sit on the changelog.

Server types

The switcher offers Normal, Solo, Ranked Level 15, Ranked Level 35, VC Only, Creative, and Tutorial. Normal is the public diner: customers walk in, order, and rate. Solo is the same rules with one player, added as a free option so you can learn without a crowd. VC Only is for accounts with voice chat. Tutorial is the onboarding kitchen. Creative has no customers, unlimited ingredients, and energy that never depletes.

Ranked Level 15 unlocked with VC Only on 21 February 2024. Ranked Level 35 arrived on 29 July 2024. At rank 15 you can choose a regular public room or a rank-gated room on join. Rank 15+ customers order harder dishes and the population is older, so dumping stock, stealing plates, and emptying pots happen less. Rank 35 is the stricter filter. Customer count still scales with player count, so a full ranked eight-player diner is busier than a half-empty Normal.

Cooking methods should be enforced on ranked. Hexbit called that out when ranked servers shipped and again in later notes. If a build is still leaking, treat the rule as the intended kitchen law anyway: cook the method on the ticket, plate on a real dish, and do not serve a raw workaround. Ranked is where people come to cook, not to troll the fryer.

XP, mastery, and rank rewards

Base XP is 12 per dish served plus 5 XP per extra difficulty star on that recipe. Mastery tracks how often you serve each dish and levels that recipe separately from your chef rank. Washing plates at the sink also pays XP. A cleaner on the roles roster still climbs while cooks handle claimed tickets.

Open Rewards on the left. There are about thirty rank rewards. Most ranks pay cash. Hats land at milestone ranks: Starter Hat at 5, Cowboy Hat at 15, Tomato Hat at 20, Donut Headphones at 25, Chemist Mask at 30. Hats are cosmetic. They do not change cook speed or earnings. Equip them under Menu, Inventory, Chef hats. Stars from serving spend at the Star Shop outside (also called the Wish Store) for Halloween and Christmas crates. Regular crates still cost diner cash if you want extra hats.

There are no live codes as of September 2026. Do not wait on a redeem screen to hit rank 15. If a code ever ships, use how to redeem. Community chatter belongs on community links, not in the ticket queue.

How to reach Rank 15 without wasting nights

Claim one customer at a time unless you own Multi Customer Claim. Serve the printed recipe. Difficulty stars pay extra XP, so a harder pasta or tart is worth more than spamming the easiest side forever, but only if you can actually finish it. Use the office laptop and truck when baskets drop; ranked kitchens still go bankrupt. Instant Delivery (59 Robux) skips the desert drive if your group is already underwater on tickets. Eat Food (49 Robux) returns about 500 kJ so you are not shuffling during a Rank 15 rush.

Trolling is the real time sink on Normal. People dump stock in the trash, steal plates, and empty pots with X. Vote kick and vote clean are UI buttons as of November 2025; chat commands still work. If a room will not vote, leave. Rank 15 exists so you can stop teaching griefers how the blender works. Private servers cost 49 Robux and currently save bills, commissions, solar upgrades, and store day plus time in Normal, which is better for a friend diner than for rank XP with strangers.

Rank 35, Manager, and what ranked is not

Rank 35 is the same diner with a higher door. Expect more complex tickets and people who already know the recipe methods. Manager (399 Robux) can set open and close hours and trim the menu to a minimum of six items, which is useful if your private or managed room wants a tighter ranked practice list. Motivate and a $50 bonus sit on the Manager actions tab. They do not replace cooking.

Ranked is not Creative. You still drain kJ, you still pay bills, and you still restock. Ranked is not a PvP arena. There is no hidden combat rating. It is a filter on who may join and, when enforcement works, on how food must be cooked. If you need unlimited stock and Rordon Temu on a plate, use Creative mode first, then come back.

Climb with served food, not with crate spam. Hit rank 5 for the starter hat, rank 15 for the cowboy hat and the better rooms, rank 20 for the tomato hat, then keep plating until Donut Headphones and the Chemist Mask show up. After 30 the cash ranks still pay, but the real prize is a kitchen that finishes the ticket.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers chefs actually search for.

What rank do I need for Ranked servers?

Ranked Level 15 requires rank 15. Ranked Level 35 requires rank 35. At rank 15 you can pick a normal public server or a rank-gated server when you join.

Are cooking methods enforced on ranked?

They should be. Hexbit added ranked rooms so methods match the ticket. Enforcement has failed in some builds, but you should still cook the printed method. That is the point of the filter.

Which hats come from rank rewards?

Starter Hat at rank 5, Cowboy Hat at 15, Tomato Hat at 20, Donut Headphones at 25, and Chemist Mask at 30. Other ranks in the roughly thirty-reward track pay cash.

How do I earn rank XP fast?

Serve dishes for 12 XP plus 5 XP per extra difficulty star, raise recipe mastery, and wash plates at the sink. Harder ranked tickets pay more if you can finish them cleanly.

Is there less trolling on Ranked 15?

Usually. Rank 15+ rooms order harder food and skew toward people who came to cook. Vote kick and vote clean still exist if someone dumps stock or empties pots.

Do stars and crates require ranked servers?

No. Stars drop from serving on Normal, Solo, and ranked. Spend them at the Star Shop / Wish Store for seasonal crates. Ranked is a server filter, not a separate currency.
