Generic Cooking Game Who does what in the diner

Generic Cooking Game never makes you pick a class, but every diner that survives more than a day has jobs anyway. Public servers hold up to eight players. Free Solo servers exist. Online co-op is the default. If nobody says who cooks, who drives, who washes, and who takes orders, you get four people fighting over a pan while the factory truck sits in the garage. Trolling is the number one social pain. Roles do not stop a stranger from dumping steak into the trash, but they do stop your own lobby from causing the same chaos by accident. Ranked, Solo, and friends servers are the real anti-troll tools. Grab Players is a 299 R$ hat with a grab; it is not a role.

Cook (kitchen)

The cook lives at the line: stove, fryer, oven, rice cooker, steamer, blender, and pass. Their bible is the recipe list and the recipe tier list. On a new public diner they cook S-tier tickets: coffee, chips, fried egg, steak, tomato soup, lemonade. On a staffed diner they can step into A-tier burgers and pizza. They should not self-assign tarts because they are bored.

Cooks also own burn prevention. If you walk away from a fryer, you are not a cook, you are a fire. Ranked enforces cooking methods, so a cook who “knows a shortcut” on Normal will fail tickets in ranked servers. Keep the locator bound; controls matter more at the line than anywhere else. Eat Food (500 kJ) and coffee keep a cook walking. A slow cook is a burned cook.

Runner (factory truck)

The runner owns the office laptop, the order, the truck, the factory, and the garage conveyor. When a key ingredient hits zero, they leave. They do not wait for a dramatic speech. Potatoes, eggs, steak, dough, tomatoes, and lemons are the beginner restock trigger; the session checklist uses that rule on purpose. Instant Delivery (59 R$) can replace the drive. A human runner can replace Instant Delivery. Both are valid. Leaving the pantry at zero while three cooks stand around is not valid.

Runners should learn the factory restock loop once and then treat it like a heartbeat. Commissions versus instant, crate unloading, and not parking the truck in a doorway are the skill. Mobile truck controls were revised in recent patches; if you play on a phone, re-learn the drive instead of blaming the kitchen.

Dishwasher (sink, plates, floors)

Dishwasher is the role everyone skips and the role a busy eight-player diner cannot skip. Plates and bowls have to exist. Floors get dirty. A cook without a plate is not a cook. A host without a clean floor is serving food in a swamp. This is not the old map object that used to spawn dishware under the world; this is the human job of keeping the sink moving and the dining room usable so customers will still sit.

On a two-player diner the dishwasher is a hat the host or cook wears between tickets. On an eight-player diner it should be a named person. If nobody wants it, rotate every in-game hour. Unwashed chaos looks like trolling even when it is just neglect.

Host / server (orders and tables)

The host claims the customer order, calls the dish to the line, and walks the finished plate to the table. They are the difference between a cook guessing and a cook working a ticket. They should call S-tier food when the line is long and only add A-tier when dough and steak are actually in. They should never claim a C-tier tart “to be nice” while chips would have paid.

Hosts also see trolling first: stolen plates, food thrown, customers stuck. Votekick has a UI now (chat commands still work). A host who panics and claims six tickets at once is how the line collapses. One ticket per cook, called out loud, is the whole skill. Customer volume scales with player count, so a full lobby is a busier host job, not a busier excuse to ignore roles.

Manager (pass required)

Manager is not a default role. It requires the Manager gamepass (399 R$). The pass can open and close hours, set the menu to a minimum of six items, and grants the apron. Wall custom and other diner edits showed up in later notes. On public strangers this is a flex. On private or friends it is how you lock the board to food the lobby can actually cook. Rank the pass on the gamepass tier list; do not buy it to skip learning the line.

A Manager who puts six C-tier dishes on Ranked is the villain of their own diner. Use the recipe ranking when you edit the menu. Creative servers do not need a Manager to enjoy plating; they need Creative mode and, if you want a critic, Rordon Temu.

2-player versus 8-player assignment

Solo: you are every role. Cook S-tier, restock when a key ingredient hits zero, wash when you cannot plate, sit for energy. Instant Delivery and Food Basket are the passes that replace missing teammates.

Two players: one cook+host, one runner+dishes, or swap every few tickets. Do not both stand at the fryer. Talk.

Four players: cook, runner, host, dishes as four mouths. A second cook can replace dishes if the diner is still clean.

Eight players: two cooks, one runner, one host, one dishes, and the rest as floaters who restock energy, wipe solar, or back the line. Floaters who all decide to “help cook” are how pans disappear. Name the jobs in the first minute. If the lobby refuses, leave for Solo or Ranked instead of spending the session angry. For people who will actually hold a role, use community links.
