Generic Cooking Game Recent changelog themes
Grouped notes from the BETA diner. Confirm the live list in-game, not on a rumor.
This page is a theme list, not a fake dated timeline. Generic Cooking Game is released (13 April 2023) and still labeled BETA. The Roblox description currently points at UPD2.18.3 and tells you to check the in-game changelog. When this wiki and that button disagree, the button wins. Dated 2.18.4 and 2.18.5 lines (22/01/2026 Sausage Roll; 09/02/2026 Beef Taco, manager menu, pan teleport fix; then private-server saves and 6% compounding bills) now live on latest update. For the short hub version, stay on the Updates Hub.
Promo codes almost never ride along with these notes. If a changelog line actually prints a code, use how to redeem. Until then, ignore filler lists.
Latest banner: UPD2.18.3 and “check the changelog”
Treat UPD2.18.3 as the live flag on the Roblox page, not as a complete essay. Recent notes around that era tell you to open the in-game list. Clustered with that reminder are a revamped tutorial, performance and network work, and mobile truck control revisions. If you have not played since the old tutorial, run Tutorial again before you trust muscle memory. If you restock on a phone, re-learn the truck; then read factory restock.
Creative critic, tutorial, and Double Claim
Rordon Temu landed as a fiery food critic in Creative. Plate a dish, take the verdict, and keep him out of your Normal mental model. He is not a public customer. See Creative mode and diner customers.
The tutorial was revamped. New chefs should still follow Getting Started and controls after it, because a tutorial pass does not replace locator binds or pantry routes.
Double Claim is a new gamepass that grants an extra claim on rewards. This wiki does not invent its Robux price. Confirm the cost in the Gamepasses menu, then rank it against Basket and Speed on the gamepass tier list. Gamepass gifting is also in, so a friend can send a pass without a code.
Money, private saves, and solar
Private servers running Normal can save a slice of state: bills, commissions, solar upgrades, and the store day plus time. That is partial, not a full diner freeze. Other objects may still reset.
Bills now climb by a compounding 6% per day survived. A diner that looks rich on day two can still fold on day eight if power and rent outrun the bank. Solar received an overhaul. Star Shop exists. Pair all of that with energy and bills instead of assuming early-game rent is still a flat joke.
Recipes and ranked method enforcement
Recent recipe names called out in changelogs include Beef Taco, Sausage Roll, Onigiri, Corndog, Chicken Burger, Carrot Cake, and Chocolate Cake. Food colouring and mayo exist as extra plating tools. Ranked cooking methods are enforced, which is the most important kitchen rule in this pile: a shortcut that used to work on a noisy Normal server can fail the ticket on ranked servers.
The recipe tab is scalable. You can toggle text versus image instructions. Ingredient tracking is in. None of that replaces the recipe list or the recipe tier list when you are choosing a public board. New food starts in whatever row its stations and burn risk deserve, not in S just because it is new.
Map, modes, and UI
A Christmas map and obby went live, then was removed; the portal was reused as a main menu. Free Solo servers exist. Creative servers exist. Ranked Level 15 / 35 and VC Only queues exist. A votekick UI landed (chat commands still work). Manager wall custom is in. On PC, hold Ctrl in first person to unlock the mouse. A new loading screen shipped. Performance and network passes continue, because a physics kitchen with eight chefs is a lot of objects.
If you assign jobs after a mode change, use kitchen roles. Solo is a full diner with one body. Creative is a rehearsal room. Ranked is the same diner with method enforcement and a higher troll filter.
How to confirm a note before you teach it
- Open the in-game Changelog button on your current build.
- Match the line to a theme on this page (recipe, pass, bills, mode, UI).
- Update how you play: menu on the session checklist, restock loop, energy habits, or Ranked methods.
- If the note is only a rumor in Discord, check community links as a lead, then still verify in-game.
BETA means the diner still moves. It does not mean the game is unreleased, and it does not mean every leaked dish is live. Cook what the recipe tab shows. Buy what the Gamepasses menu shows. Rank tickets on the recipe ranking after you have actually cooked the new food once. That is the whole changelog habit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers chefs actually search for.
Where is the real latest patch list?
Inside the game, on the Changelog button. This page groups themes. The Updates Hub is the short version.
Is the game still waiting to ship?
No. It released on 13 April 2023 and remains BETA. Play it; the diner is already live.
Did UPD2.18.3 add codes?
Not as a standard drop. Check codes only if the in-game changelog prints one.
What does private server save actually keep?
Recent notes list bills, commissions, solar upgrades, and day plus time on Normal private servers. Do not assume pans and food save.
Why did Ranked start failing my old method?
Cooking methods are enforced there. Follow the recipe list and ranked servers instead of a Normal shortcut.
Is Rordon Temu in the public diner now?
No. He is a Creative critic. Public customers stay unnamed tables with dish orders.
