Generic Cooking Game Hats, crates, and aprons

Cosmetic chef hats from ranks, cash crates, and the Star Shop — no cooking stats attached.

Hats and Crates

Hats in Generic Cooking Game are clothes. They do not cook faster, restock potatoes, or raise a plate from one star to three. Hexbit Studios released the diner on 13 April 2023 (place 13118814103) and still labels it BETA. Public rooms hold eight chefs. Free Solo exists. Online co-op is the default. None of that changes because you opened a crate. Equip a chef hat from Menu, then Inventory, then Chef hats. If a hat is not in that list, you do not own it yet.

This page is the roster of looks: rank rewards, cash crates, seasonal Star Shop boxes, the tinfoil hat that rides with Grab Players, and aprons. For who actually works the line, use kitchen roles. For the tables those looks stand in front of, use diner customers. For the social mess a tinfoil hat is built for, use trolling and vote kick. The parent Players Hub is the short map.

Equip a hat, then go cook

Open Menu. Open Inventory. Open Chef hats. Pick one. That is the whole UI. Hats are cosmetic only: no cook speed, no extra cash, no extra energy, no extra XP. A Starter Hat at rank 5 and an Angel hat from a legendary crate wear the same rule. If you want movement or carrying, rank the real spends on the gamepass tier list — Food Basket, 1.5x Speed, Eat Food, Instant Delivery — not a pineapple on your head.

Aprons sit in a related slot. They also do not grill steak. Some aprons are buyable with diner cash. Some cost Robux. The Manager pass includes an exclusive manager apron along with hours, a six-item menu floor, and later wall custom. Do not buy Manager for the cloth. Buy it when you actually run a private or friends diner. Public strangers ignore aprons.

There are no live promo codes as of September 2026. Thumbnail words will not drop a hat. If Hexbit ever prints a string, how to redeem is the checklist. Until then, pay cash, spend stars, climb rank, or buy a listed pass.

Rank reward hats

Open Rewards on the left. About thirty ranks pay mostly cash. Hats land on milestones:

  • Starter Hat at rank 5
  • Cowboy Hat at rank 15
  • Tomato Hat at rank 20
  • Donut Headphones at rank 25
  • Chemist Mask at rank 30

That is the rank hat list this wiki will print. Do not add a secret rank-40 crown from a rumor. Rank 15 is also when ranked servers open the Level 15 filter, so the cowboy hat and the quieter rooms arrive together. Ranked is not a crate. You still serve dishes, wash plates, and follow the recipe list. Hats from Rewards do not skip that.

Cash crates: regular and rare

A Regular crate costs about 75 diner cash. It rolls commons and rares, and it can rarely spit a legendary. A Rare box costs about 250 cash and is the honest way to hunt Bandana, Paper, and Wealth hats. Legendaries from crates are Bizzare, Pineapple, Demon, and Angel. Commons from regular crates are Short, Pot, and Tall hats.

Spend cash on crates after solar, restock, and bills, not before. Energy and bills still compound about 6% per day survived. A legendary hat on a bankrupt diner is a screenshot of a closed kitchen. Use the factory restock loop when potatoes hit zero. Use the session checklist when the lobby is arguing about tarts instead of opening a crate.

Do not invent drop rates this page does not have. Regular is cheaper and mostly common or rare. Rare is more expensive and aimed at the rare pool, with legendaries still uncommon. If a video claims a guaranteed Angel, treat it as a clip, not a table.

Halloween and Christmas crates

Seasonal hats come from Halloween crates and Christmas crates. You buy those with stars at the Star Shop outside, also called the Wish Store, not with the same 75-cash regular box. Stars drop from serving food on Normal, Solo, and Ranked. Ranked is not a separate seasonal currency.

Halloween hats on this wiki: Zombie Cap, Pumpkin Cap, Lantern, Plague Mask, Bat Hat, Golden Pumpkin, Ghost Hood.

Christmas hats on this wiki: Star Hat, Antlers, Snowball Head, Snowflake Beanie.

A Christmas map and obby went live, then came down. Dated notes on that sit on the latest update and the theme pile on the changelog. Seasonal crates can still exist in the Star Shop after the snow is gone. Check the live shop. Do not invent extra holiday hats such as a secret turkey crown.

The full chef-hat roster (no extras)

Rank: Starter Hat, Cowboy Hat, Tomato Hat, Donut Headphones, Chemist Mask.

Grab Players (299 R$): Tin Foil Hat. The pass grabs other players. The hat is the souvenir. Details live on trolling. It is not a cooking stat.

Regular crate commons: Short Hat, Pot Hat, Tall Hat.

Rare crate: Bandana, Paper, Wealth.

Legendary crate: Bizzare, Pineapple, Demon, Angel.

Halloween crate: Zombie Cap, Pumpkin Cap, Lantern, Plague Mask, Bat Hat, Golden Pumpkin, Ghost Hood.

Christmas crate: Star Hat, Antlers, Snowball Head, Snowflake Beanie.

If a Discord screenshot shows a name that is not in this list, it is either a group-store avatar item or a fake. In-diner Chef hats are the list above. Group-store coats sit on your Roblox avatar, not in Chef hats.

What a dressed chef should still do

Wear the hat. Claim a ticket. Follow orange words. A Tomato Hat does not grate cheese. A Chemist Mask does not flip a taco shell. Beef Taco is still dough, steak, and a cheese block: mold the shell, deep-fry it, grind the steak, fry the patty, grate the cheese, assemble. That 2-star plate belongs on the recipe ranking by stations and burn risk, not by how festive your head is.

Public eight-player rooms still troll. Hats do not vote-kick. Hosts still call orders. Runners still drive. If the lobby is dumping stock, leave for Solo or Ranked instead of buying another crate to feel better. For people who will actually cook, use community links. For how the physics kitchen even starts, use Getting Started and controls. Creative plating with Rordon Temu is a Creative mode trip, not a hat check.

The look you want is a chef who finishes chips while the crate animation plays on someone else’s screen. Equip from Menu, Inventory, Chef hats. Then walk back to the line. That is the entire cosmetics skill.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers chefs actually search for.

Do hats change cooking stats?

No. Chef hats are cosmetic only. Equip them under Menu, Inventory, Chef hats. Buy Food Basket or Speed if you want power; see the gamepass tier list.

How do I equip a chef hat?

Menu, then Inventory, then Chef hats. If the hat is not listed, you have not unlocked it from rank, a crate, a seasonal shop, or Grab Players.

What is the difference between regular and rare crates?

Regular crates cost about 75 cash and roll commons and rares, with rare legendaries. Rare boxes cost about 250 and target the rare pool (Bandana, Paper, Wealth).

How do I get Halloween and Christmas hats?

Buy Halloween crates and Christmas crates with stars at the Star Shop / Wish Store. Stars come from serving food, including on Solo and Ranked.

Which hats come from rank rewards?

Starter Hat at 5, Cowboy Hat at 15, Tomato Hat at 20, Donut Headphones at 25, and Chemist Mask at 30. Other ranks in the track pay cash. See ranked servers.

Does the Manager apron do anything besides look?

The apron is the exclusive look. The Manager pass is the power: hours, a six-item menu, and later diner edits. Public lobbies still ignore cloth. Details on kitchen roles.
