Hexbit Studios released Generic Cooking Game on 13 April 2023. The experience is still labeled BETA, but the diner is live: eight-player online co-op plus free Solo. Order on the office laptop
Walk into the office and use the laptop on the desk. The order menu is a shopping cart, not a magic refill. Click up to ten ingredients, then place the order. Quantities are fixed per crate: dough often arrives in sevens, eggs in tens, steak in fives, oil and salmon in threes. Basil, rosemary, and coffee never go on the cart because those baskets are unlimited. If a staple still reads out of stock after you click Place Order, you never submitted the cart, you lacked commission for Instant Delivery, or you never unloaded at the garage.
Watch the pantry and cryo counts during a rush. Dough, steak, tomato, cheese, milk, egg, and water canisters vanish first on burger, pasta, and tart tickets. Claimed customers do not pause because a basket hit zero. One driver should scan counts between plates instead of waiting for a full kitchen freeze. Drive the garage truck
After the order lands, go to the garage. Trucks park there. If a truck is missing, flipped, or broken, press the green wall button to respawn it. Sit in the cab and a desert path appears toward the factory. Follow it. The factory is not next to the diner; it is a short drive across sand with gloomy audio once you arrive.
Mobile steering was revised in the 5 March 2026 patch, so phone drivers should relearn throttle and camera before blaming the road. Private servers cost 49 Robux. In Normal mode they currently save bills, commissions, solar upgrades, and store day plus time, which means a clean restock run on a private diner actually persists. Public eight-player rooms reset when bankruptcy hits. Solo is free if you want to learn the loop without a troll dumping stock in the trash.
Load crates at the factory
Park in the marked space inside the factory. Climb the ladder or stairs to the second-floor drop-site. Your ordered boxes wait there. Pick each crate and drop it into the truck bed so it sticks. Loose cargo slides when you accelerate and can fall out on the return. Fill the bed, then drive back the same desert path.
Do not leave the factory with a half load unless the kitchen is already out of one critical ingredient and you plan a second trip. A second round trip costs more energy in kilojoules than one full bed. Sit on the office couch or brew coffee before a long haul if your walk speed is already crawling. Unload on the conveyor
Back the truck into the garage so the bed kisses the conveyor. Exit the cab. Pull the lever on the back-left of the truck. That shove sends crates onto the belt and raises pantry and cryo counts. Each box that actually delivers pays about $1.47 in commission. If counts do not rise, the lever was never pulled, the bed missed the belt, or a troll yanked crates off before they converted.
Commission is personal pay for doing the drive. It is separate from the restaurant bank that pays rent and electricity. Instant Delivery is the skip: pay an extra about $10 (it costs commission) to skip the truck, or buy Instant Delivery for 59 Robux to waive that extra fee. Public customers scale with player count, so a full eight-player diner burns stock faster than Solo. Ranked Level 15 and Ranked Level 35 tickets lean on harder recipes and empty premium crates sooner. Creative servers skip this entire loop: unlimited ingredients, no customers, energy that never depletes. Practice plating there, then return to Normal when you need commission and rank XP.
Assign a dedicated driver on busy nights. Cooks who also restock tend to abandon claimed tickets. The roles guide is the roster split: one person on the laptop and truck, one on stove and oven, one on plates and sink. If someone dumps stock, steals plates, or empties pots, use the vote kick and vote clean UI (chat commands still work).
